In addition, for those with houses for sale he says, “The summer can be a good season for apartments and homes for sale; yes there are fewer transactions around this time as many UK real estate agents and buyers look to more relaxing pursuits. However if you do have a property on at this time and there is interest you will find that transactions close very quickly as consumers want to get the sale over with and on with the Holidays.
“It is very important,” says Brian “to keep your agent on his toes at this time”. “Don’t let them get complacent or lazy dreaming of warmer climates.”

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland (RICS) said its latest results were among the most negative since September 2010.
